This session will discuss the collaborative efforts of three community colleges in southern WV to provide a Shared Peer Reviewer Network. Using the statewide subscriber managed review process, the network of reviewers will provide a cost effective model to deliver quality online courses to rural WV at no additional cost. A discussion of the concept at the state level and the implementation plans from the three institutional perspectives will be given. Providing the appropriate tools, involving faculty, and collaboration are the key components of this project and will be examined.
To implement a QM-based online course design program, CSUDH created the DH Network, a group of faculty who disseminate best practice in online course design through peer-to-peer sharing. This session shares design of the network's academy and consultation process and reviews lessons learned.

This session chronicles the initiative of a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program to improve the quality of its online courses. The initiative included three objectives in the application of research-based best practices for online course design: (1) train faculty, (2) provide internal resources and guidance, and (3) achieve external certification of Ed.D. program courses. As a result of the successful completion of these objectives, the program outcomes included: improved online student experiences; faculty, course, and program recognition; and a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
This poster's focus is on approaches used to engage faculty in course improvement. With program-level leadership and department and university support, significant efforts to meet QM Standards are underway. I will discuss our process and progress.
